Why should I book a photoshoot?
I believe everyone should have the experience of celebrating themselves and their individual beauty, or their unique story, through photos. My entire life I've always been fond of looking at old photos of my family and I and I'm so thankful and lucky to have those photographs. There is something so magical and precious about capturing moments in still photographs, looking back on them years later and remembering good times. I want to provide this magic and nostalgic feeling to everyone, in addition to swiftly capturing milestones, and breathtaking portraits whether for oneself or for professional profiles! Everyone deserves to feel special, important, and most importantly, confident in their skin! Photoshoots also make thoughtful and exciting gifts as well!
Do you send raw photos?
I do not send raw photos or raw files, and you will find this is the same procedure with other professional photographers. These files are extremely big, and are optimized to be edited in specific software. In addition to the giant file sizes, most of the creativity and specialty of a photographer is in their edit of the photos. Every photographer edits differently, and it's likely that you chose me because you like the way my finished photos look and the level of creativity and magic I put into my finished product, which is where most of the work is! You wouldn't buy a half finished painting, and the process is the same with professional photos! Taking them is only the first half of the magic :)
Do you send all of the photos you take?
I do not. There will always be "test shots" to ensure the settings on the camera and the lighting is correct and optimized for your photoshoot, as well as some photos being out of focus. Thus, there will always be photos that are uneditable or useless. However, I will always put all of the editable photos in your proof gallery for you to choose your personal favorites and personally choose which ones you'd like to have edited*.
Will you retouch my skin?
Only if you would like me to! I typically do light re-touching to skin by default to remove skin blemishes at a reasonable amount. We all know that acne isn't permanent. If you would like me to leave your skin as-is, just let me know, it's all based on what makes YOU feel beautiful or handsome!
Can I purchase more edits than what comes with the package?
Of course you can! More edits may be purchased for $10 each*! Black and white renditions may be purchased for $5 each! If you are interested in more edits, simply let me know!
Can I purchase a gift certificate for myself in the future or someone i know?

What should I wear? How should I do my makeup?
You can wear anything you'd like, anything you feel comfortable and confident in! If you'd like my opinion for your shoot (or if you're proposing to your loved one and would like some pointers) send me an email and I can give you an idea of what to wear and outfit examples that will go with your location! Same with makeup, you can wear whatever you like, though it seems as though a more natural makeup look tends to be more favored on camera.
How should I prepare for my shoot?
To prepare for your shoot, I suggest doing some self care the night before! This might include a nice bath, face masks, paint your nails, do a hair mask, read your favorite book, get some extra beauty rest, maybe spend some extra time getting ready to look your best! Anything that makes you feel beautiful and confident! Make sure to eat a meal or snack before, and stay hydrated. Always a good idea to bring water, and a snack. If we are hiking to a location, i'd suggest bringing your shoot outfit in a backpack and wear appropriate clothing for the hiking.

Do you photograph people in the lgbtq+ community?
YES, of course! Being apart of the community myself, it's extremely important to me to be inclusive and provide equal services and beautiful photos for everyone! All is welcome. I love to capture all love and identities <3 Please let me know your pronouns in your inquiry so I can use the ones you prefer and ensure you're comfortable when we're shooting!
Do you offer special rate monthly shoots for social media INFLUENCErS or businesses for instagram content?
I do! I do not have these rates on my website, because every case will be different depending on what you specifically need. I understand that one of the most important parts of an online presence is being consistent and having a theme, and I'd love to help you achieve this! These shoots would be at a lower rate than normal and contracted for several shoots over a span of time. That way we can meet up for shoots consistently and create content for your page in advance and have you ahead of the curve!
What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel, I ask 72 hours (3 days) notice so I can attempt to fill the spot, however the booking deposit is non-refundable to secure your spot regardless of cancellation, since I dedicate that time to you specifically. I do work a day job full time and usually take the day off to prepare for your photoshoot.
If you'd like to re-schedule, I will put 25% of your deposit towards your new date as long as it is before the last 72 hours. If we are doing a shoot of/with children, 50% of your deposit will go to a re-scheduled shoot day and time since children are extremely unpredictable and easily get sick.
